The service

RegBolt (regbolt.co.uk) is a marketplace for UK private number plates, currently in pre-launch. The waitlist, games, plate finder and content on this site are provided for information and entertainment; sample plates, prices and availability shown pre-launch are illustrative.

Registrations and the DVLA

A private number plate is the right to display a vehicle registration mark, granted via DVLA certificates (V750/V778). Purchases are subject to DVLA rules, including the £80 assignment fee and the age rule (a plate cannot make a vehicle appear newer than it is). DVLA is a registered trade mark of the Driver & Vehicle Licensing Agency; RegBolt is not affiliated to the DVLA.

Pricing

At launch, all prices shown include VAT and the £80 DVLA assignment fee — the price you see is the price you pay. Pre-launch prices shown on this site are samples for illustration.

Cancellations

Once a DVLA certificate is issued in your name, a registration cannot be "returned". Full cancellation and refund terms will be published before checkout opens, and a complaints process will be available as required under DVLA dealer trading terms.
